And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked paths straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16
Perfect Purpose For At Risk Women
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”
Welcome to Perfect Purpose for At Risk Women, also known as PPFARW. My name is Inga Davis and I’ve been blessed by God to be a blessing to other women. PPFARW is not just a distant ministry to me– it’s my heart, it’s my life work, it’s my story, but it’s also the story of all women who’ve ever been abused, neglected, depressed, cut-down, and forgotten about. We all share this same story– names may change, but the pain is the same. We’ve endured abuse, neglect, pain, and we all carry with us the battle scars to prove it. But the funny thing about pain is that it isolates you, and makes you feel like you’re all alone. It also robs you of hope and makes you feel like you have no future. Every woman has a purpose. God has equipped woman with the ability to hold and bring forth life. No one can match a woman’s compassion and selflessness. A woman’s essence is to give… but who replenishes the giver? PPFARW is devoted to doing just that. We visit impoverished neighborhoods, youth centers and schools. We make house calls, we organize community events, we host fashion shows, we teach classes, we do healing workshops, we provide self-enrichment courses– all of these skills are to help women of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances to be the best possible version of themselves. The skills we teach never die. The skills become part of a woman’s legacy, something that she can teach to other women. If you want to change the world, start with women. Why? Because women are natural born teachers and nurteaers who teach the next generation. When a woman is able to rise above the ugliness of her past or present circumstances, she will pull the community up with her. But, to do that, she needs to feel powerful, beautiful, and capable. That’s where we need your help. Whether you donate, volunteer, or sponsor, PPFARW needs you! Your help allows us to continue to reach out to at risk women. Will you help PPFAW to continue this good work?
